I was here for a few weeks and had the opportunity try many things off the menu. First off the staff is awesome, the manager, Donna, Rachel all are super cool. I tried many of the items. Au Poivre Burger - 5/5 wonderful, best thing I had here, it's not on the permanent menu yet but they tried it out one week. It is on some type of soft onion roll, the meat itself has lots of black peppercorn and dijonaise. The only downside is the bacon it's too thick and chewy but it is very tasty. Brie Panini - 2/5 this was not good, the worst part was the Brie Crab Cakes - 3/5 they were chewy, not very good but edible Nachos - 3/5 not bad, they had a lot of some powdered seasoning on them which was different but ok Penn State burger - 3/5 decent but not great, the bread improved it some, a kind of ciabatta. Prime Rib sandwich, the steak is good and the bread it comes on is asiago cheese bread, that is really good especially when it soaks up the juices from the meat. Instead of fries with your burger you can get an antipasto salad which is good. The pool table is free all the time. Everyday they have a new pizza flatbread, soup and sandwich. Most of the soups I had were good but I wish they served oyster crackers or saltines instead of the crackers they have. The deserts here are SUPER GOOD! the berry crisp and the Pecan pie(make sure they heat it up) I'd love to eat here often if I lived nearby.

Didn't try the food (though the food at the adjacent Gardens restaurant was pretty good.) Stopped in for a single cocktail. Had a scotch and soda. Allegedly contained Cutty Sark but I couldn't taste any. The soda had a slight golden tinge, so there may have been some in there for color. Price was marginally reasonable at $4.75. I just wanted a single drink (which I'm not entirely sure I actually got), but if you wanted to get a buzz on, it'd take some serious time & money given how watered down the drink was. Surly bartender. Lots of artwork dedicated to a pedophile-enabler I seem to have heard of. Love the hotel, but Legends will be a pass for me next time. (Marked as "quiet" because there was almost nobody there. I'm sure it's loud and raucous - as is nearly any sports bar - should there be a game on.)

The food was delicious and the service was awesome. Got the Dutch grilled cheese and it was incredible. More veggie options than I was expecting, all in all a great time!

Legends is located on the ground floor of the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center. First, don't come here if you are looking for a QUICK meal. While the servers are nice and helpful, service here is not fast by any standard. Legends has a Tavern/Sports Bar look with heavy emphasis on Penn State decor and decoration. Has full bar and several tables, along with a pool table. Be aware that without an adult of a certain age, anyone under 21 is not allowed in Legends. Menu comprises of Tavern food such as burgers, chicken fingers, sandwiches, and other items along those lines. Several burgers are served on pretzel buns that are tasty. French Fries are served in large portions that are hard to finish. Legends is a little stingy with Ketchup, I wish they would just keep a bottle at the table. Nice place to eat...just not if you are in a hurry.

The food here was delicious! We kind of ended up here on a lark and were blown away by the food and the service was great. The flatbread of the day was out of this world as an appetizer and the entree was maybe the best I've ever had in State College. Highly recommend!

Sooo after a 3 hour drive to penn state I didn't feel like venturing out so I decided to eat at the Legends pub. The decor lets you know that your are in Nittany Lion country. The staff was very very friendly. I ordered the gluten free crab and corn cakes for 11.50. I wasn't happy with the portions the cakes were the size of silver dollars so to me not a good value. They were yummy but not worth the price. All in all not bad

Food was good and reasonably priced. Good beer (Ottos IPA) on tap, kids menu, fast service, friendly staff. No complaints here!

If you go here, go for the flatbread special. It is daily and always something different. I'd like to imagine that the chef comes up with the idea for the flatbread each morning, comes in to work, and makes the magic. Kudos to you, good chef. I haven't been disappointed yet.

I've had a beer here, but, if their food is like the main Penn Stater food, it will range from ok to nice and be quite expensive. so, good luck to you if you are stuck at the hotel.

I ate here with a co-worker recently and was not really impressed with the menu or the quality of the food. For a school with a world renound culinary, food science, and hospitality program, legends definitely falls short in many areas. If you're staying at the hotel you can eat at legends but I wouldnt really expect to be blown away. The bar area is very nice and probably alright to have a few drinks at after a long day of work/meetings/seminars or on gameday, but I'd venture elsewhere for dinner. When I dined here I had their wings ($9) that were apparently grilled, then fried. This gives them a pretty unique texture that was more chewy than crispy. For my money I'd prefer just traditional fried chickenwings...why mess with something that works? As far as portion is concerned, your ($9) will get you one pound of wings (which apparently is exactly 8). Like much of the fare on the menu, I thought this was pretty pricey. I also had a side of fries which were tasty, but obviously nothing fresh, definately frozen. Overall, we were not impressed with legends. The design/decoration is extremely tacky and the food definitely will not be your most memorable experience in happy valley. Our waitress was extremely attentive and polite, but that's wasn't enough to save it. There are plenty of fine restaraunts downtown and just outside the state college area that are worth visiting over Legends.
